Township Cleanup: Curbside Cleanup. Friday, May 16. All items should be on the curb no later than 6AM. Items NOT Accepted: Tires, paint, oil, hazardous chemicals, yard waste, concrete, brick, large amounts of shingles, and household trash. Building materials, such as lumber, vinyl siding and carpet need to be cut to a length of five (5) feet and under.
Public Debris Disposal: The state Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has opened 17 public debris disposal sites to serve the 12-county disaster area as cleanup efforts continue. The DNR has asked for assistance reminding affected residents that to prevent the spread of invasive pests and tree diseases, it is important to use any firewood created by the storm on-site or locally and take advantage of the public debris disposal sites. It is unlawful to dump or dispose of debris on public lands or property.
Star Township Pantry is open at the Fire Hall on Thursday's from 3:00PM - 5:00PM.
Recycling: CLEAN recyclables may be recycled in the red bins at the Star Township Hall. Please visit Antrim County Conservation District for what you can and cannot put in the bins. Note: NO TRASH is Permitted.
