Star Township Fire Department was founded in 2002. With 26 firefighters, 2 pumpers ,2 tankers, 2 mini pumpers, 2 rescue sleds and one ATV. Also we run MFR rig with 15 medically trained personnel. Annual events include an Open house in March, and Firemen's field day the last Saturday in July. Mutual aid with Antrim, Otsego, and Kalkaska counties.
